Are Ethanol and Other Biofuel Technologies Part of the Answer for Energy Independence?

A brief discussion on the viability of corn ethanol, cellulosic ethanol, and biodiesel as fuels that can help reduce the demand for gasoline made from petroleum. The article also includes remarks concerning the growth of biofuel production, the impacts on local communities and the environment, and the ability of biofuels such as ethanol and biodiesel to be included in the existing logistics and distribution infrastructures.
